Get ready for a weekly double-feature to kick off the new year! Every Thursday in January, relax with a snack and a fully immersive movie in the EcoTarium’s 4K planetarium, then dive deeper with an interactive experience with one of our resident experts.

In Birth of Planet Earth, Richard Dormer narrates an exploration of some of the greatest questions in science today: How did Earth become a living planet in the wake of our Solar System’s violent birth? And what does its history tell us about our chances of finding other worlds that are truly Earth-like?

After the movie, an educator will zoom out from Earth’s explosive beginnings to the farthest reaches of the universe to see our true place in the cosmos.
